Points per hole based on your score vs par, adjusted for your handicap. Most points wins. One bad hole does not ruin your round.
| Result vs Par (net) | Points |
|---|---|
| Eagle or better (−2) | 4 |
| Birdie (−1) | 3 |
| Par (0) | 2 |
| Bogey (+1) | 1 |
| Double bogey or worse | 0 |
Teams of 2 or 4. Everyone tees off. The team picks the best shot and everyone plays from there. Repeat until the hole is finished. Lowest team score wins the hole.
| Format | Players |
|---|---|
| 2-person Ambrose | 2 |
| 4-person Ambrose | 4 |
Each hole is its own contest. Win it outright with the lowest score and you take the skin. Ties carry the skin over to the next hole, so the value keeps building.
| Result | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Lowest score — no tie | Wins the skin |
| Tie on a hole | Skin carries over |
Three simultaneous contests across the same round. Win two, lose one — or sweep all three. Nobody is out until the very last putt drops. On 9-hole Free Play, the front and back splits adapt to front 4 / back 5 so all three contests still fit.
| Contest | 18 Holes | 9 Holes (Free) |
|---|---|---|
| Front | 1–9 | 1–4 |
| Back | 10–18 | 5–9 |
| Overall | 1–18 | 1–9 |
Your handicap levels the playing field so golfers of any skill can compete fairly. The higher your handicap, the more bonus strokes you receive per hole in Stableford.
Leave it blank. After 5 saved rounds, Fairway Feuds calculates your estimated handicap from your best 3 rounds automatically.
Best 3 of your last 5 saved rounds. Differential per round is (your strokes minus 72) times 0.96. Average the best 3.
Handicap strokes are distributed by hole difficulty. SI 1 is the hardest hole, SI 18 the easiest. Your allocation adjusts your Stableford score each hole.
Your estimated handicap updates automatically on your profile as you save more rounds. The more you play, the more accurate it gets.
Every action earns XP — but Fate Badges earn the most, and they get handed out every round regardless of who won. The worst player on the course has just as good a shot at the season title as the best one — maybe better, if their mates keep nominating them for Brick Hands and Lost & Found. Season XP resets every 1 January, giving everyone a clean slate.
The season leaderboard, ranked purely by XP. Each entry shows a player's gamertag, every course they've played or hold membership at, and the Fate Badges currently stuck to their name. View the board →
Earned automatically when you hit milestones. They display on your profile and on No Name Fame.
After the Fate Wheel resolves each round, everyone with a paid plan (or free access from a Club/Pro course) takes part in a quick pass-the-device ritual: each player nominates one badge into a shared pool, then each player assigns one of those pooled badges to someone else — never themselves. The results get revealed to the whole group on the spot.
